Purpose is the justification for the existence of a thing. Its a reason for which a thing is created.
Purpose defines or determines the potentcy or the power behind a thing. When purpose is unknown, abuse is inevitable.
There is a spiritual implication of Christmas. Its not just an holiday
Luke 2:10-12 — the arrival of Christ is for all people . By God sending Christ the Lord to the world, a new chapter was opened to human race (a chapter of liberty and freedom from sin, pain and sorrow)
Why did God send Jesus
- To bring salvation to mankind – He came to save humanity from sin, judgement and condemnation John 3:16 Matthew 1:21 — Jesus came with a mandate of salvation to humanity. That is why there is no sinner too sinful to qualify for salvation
- To restore divine presence to man. When sin came, man was disconnected from divine presence. Divine presence is the greatest asset of any man Genesis 3:8 — fellowship and intimacy was reborn Isaiah 7:14 Matthew 28:20 — as long as you are redeemed, you have unhindered access to the throne of grace. When you carry divine presence, your victory is guaranteed Psalms 114:6-7 —- things that terrorise man trembles at His presence.
- To destroy all the works of the devil — sickness, disease and all infirmities 1 John 3:8 Acts 10:38
How can i access and enjoy all the benefits of His coming
- Repent and receive Christ as Lord and Saviour Acts 3:19/2:37-38
- Have a revelation of the provision of redemption — catch a picture of all Christ came to give us 2 Corinthians 3:18 — the more of Him we know, the more like Him we become . The more the revelation, the more the translation, the higher the revelation, the higher the transfigurations Acts 20:32 Revelation 5:10 — i have power over the works of the devil.
- Engage with obedience of faith to access all of these blessings James 1:22-25. Revelation-application-manifestation
- Continue to serve God and the interest of His Kingdom Exodus 23:25-26
