đĨ TRUE REVIVAL â BIRTHED IN THE SECRET PLACE SUSTAINED BY CONSISTENCY
â
âTrue revival is never a product of human plans, church programs, or emotional moments. Revival begins in the depths of a hungry heartâĻ in the soul that realizes there must be more of God than what I am currently experiencing. It begins with a cry that refuses to be silent, a desperation that says, âLord, I cannot remain the same.â
â
âRevival is birthed when people return to the secret placeâwhen prayer becomes breath, and the Word becomes life. It begins when sin is confronted, when hearts break in repentance, and when believers hunger for purity, holiness, and intimacy with God. (Psalm 51:10; Hosea 10:12)
â
âBut revival is not only birthed, it must also be maintained.
âRevival dies when prayer dies.
âRevival fades when compromise enters.
âRevival weakens when we lose the hunger that started it.
â
âTo keep revival alive, we must guard the fire. We must remain consistent in prayer, humble in spirit, watchful in lifestyle, and surrendered in obedience. The altar must never go cold. (Leviticus 6:13)
â
âBiblical Examples of Revival Experiences
â1. Isaiah â The Revival of Encounter (Isaiah 6:1â8)
âIsaiah encountered God in the temple and the revelation of Godâs holiness broke him.
âHe cried, âWoe is me!ââa sign of brokenness and true repentance.
âFrom that encounter, his life changed, his message deepened, and he became Godâs voice to a generation.
â
âRevival affected him by:
âPurifying his lips
âShaping his destiny
âLaunching him into a lifelong prophetic assignment
â
â2. The Samaritan Woman â The Revival of Transformation (John 4:1â3
âOne encounter with Jesus revived her dead spiritual life.
âHe exposed her emptiness and filled her with living water.
âShe immediately became an evangelistârunning back to her city to announce the Messiah.
â
âRevival affected her by:
âBreaking her shame
âTurning her into a bold witness
âSparking a citywide move of God
â
âRevival always begins with one personâĻ but it never ends with one person. A revived life becomes a carrier of fire to others.
â
âđĨ May God awaken us again.
âMay He break us until we burn.
âMay He birth a revival in us that never dies. đđĨ
