"The Day the Spaghetti Almost Ruined Everything"....
It all started on a Saturday afternoon in Chika’s small apartment.
The three friends, Chika, Kunle, and Amara had gathered for what they called “The Weekly Life Crisis Meeting.”
It wasn’t official. They just used it as an excuse to eat free food and complain about life.
Chika was in the kitchen cooking spaghetti, but it was… suspiciously watery.
Kunle: Chika, abeg tell me we are not about to eat ‘spaghetti soup.’
Chika: “Kunle, shut up. It’s pasta al dente… Italian people eat it like this.”
Amara: “Please, this one no be Italy, this is Surulere.”
They all laughed, but as they sat down with their plates, the laughter died down.
There was this awkward silence that always came when the jokes were over.
The silence where you remember that your bank account is not laughing with you.😣
Amara broke the silence.
“You know… I’m tired. Every year feels the same. Same job, same salary, same struggles.”
Kunle nodded.
“It’s like life is just dragging us. No plan, no excitement… just survival.”
Chika put down her fork.
“Exactly! We wake up, go to work, complain about work, wait for salary, and repeat. What’s the point?”
They started talking about how most people just exist without truly living.
They wanted something more. More freedom, purpose, and money that didn’t depend on begging HR for a raise.
Kunle: “The truth is, we’re not being intentional. We’re just letting life happen to us instead of making it happen.”
Amara: “So what do we do? It’s not like money will just fall from the sky.”
Chika: “Maybe it’s time we start something that’s ours. Something we control.”
Then Kunle said something that made them all pause.
“Guys… we spend all our time online, scrolling.
What if we used that same internet to build something that actually makes us money?”
At first, Amara laughed.
“You mean like becoming influencers? Please, my dance skills will chase followers away.”
But Chika leaned in.
“No, not just influencing… I’m talking about running real online businesses. Selling services, products, creating something people need.”
They began brainstorming.
They talked about people they knew who started online courses, sold digital products, ran e-commerce stores and were making serious money.
They realised it wasn’t magic but it was skill, consistency, and learning the right way to do it.
Before they knew it, the “spaghetti soup” was cold, but their hearts were on fire.
They made a pact right there that;
1. They would each choose an online business to start.
2. They would learn together, hold each other accountable, and support each other.
3. They would be intentional about their time, energy, and money.
Amara: “So, this is it? We’re really doing this?”
Kunle: “Yes. No more just talking. We start now.”
Chika: “Let’s make our lives meaningful… and rich.”
They laughed again, but this time it wasn’t to cover up frustration, it was the excitement of knowing that something had shifted.
Three friends, one decision, and a cold plate of spaghetti…
That was the day everything changed.
.........
You too can decide to change your financial status by starting an online business.
I hope this helps you!
Thank you!
